Cloudflare Outage

#tips #Veille #TS #AI #CSS #devops

Salut, web dev friends! 🧑‍💻

I have selected some news from the web dev world to share.

🔧 Cloudflare outage on November💡 Why Do You Need Big Tech for Your SSG?🤖 TypeScript’s rise in the AI era😓 Why CSS Is So Hard for Generative AIs to Understand ?

Have a great week.

Post mortem from Cloudflare explaining why a single line of code took down some part of internet.

You don’t need the big tech to host your little static blog, a little server, ssh and few line of bash can do the tricks and it can stay up when Cloudflare for exemple is down x).

Some insights about TS and AI from Lead Architect, Anders Hejlsberg.

LLM’S are just bad are spatial reasoning and when you write CSS, you also need HTML to know the result. You have an endless way of doing things with CSS so the LLM are lost in it. TLDR : use Tailwind when telling an LLM to build some UI because its easier to match one class to one property for the LLM. ( I am not promoting Tailwind lol ).
